Study proves…

In my six years of driving I have recieved 5 citations. The first was August of 2003 for a slow-n-go in Hamilton.  Second was a collision in Keokuk which the officers said i caused because i did not yeild the right of way, my citation said Disobeyed Stop Sign (the person on the right was an elderly woman). Third was a speeding violation on Orleans Ave, 32 in a 25(dropped to 30).  Fourth was a speeding violation on Plank Rd, 30 in a 25 (Not dropped). Last was a speeding violation on Highway 2, 85 in a 55 (dropped to 80).  I drive differently now.  I know now that the 5 over is okay is total bullshit.

I have almost been struck by other drivers several times in the last few months, most of which were elderly people that were not paying attention.  But today I saw the worst of it… I was coming down N17th St and an officer (40+ yrs old) was coming from the opposite direction, an elderly female was coming down concert and blew through the stop sign. (I would say slow and go but i have recieved no such break)  She cut off myself and the officer and we had to completely stop to allow her to pass.  I entered Concert St behind the officer and the woman proceeded to drive 30+ down the center of Concert St.

The elderly woman pulled off on 14th without signaling.  Did the officer follow or pull her over?  No, he dropped back and got behind me, where he stayed until I turned off on 11th and then into the Dominoes/Subway lot.  Is it a scientific fact that when you hit a certain age you can drive however you want?  This shit happens every day and it pisses me off.  I don’t give a fuck if police give old people breaks for whatever reason.  But it royally pisses me off when they go after younger people instead.

Please tell me I am not crazy…

Has this shit been observed by anyone else?
